Don’t send any C&Ds referencing any company associated with your seller account.
You don’t even need an attorney. I don’t think there’s any legal basis to have it removed so a C&D is just an empty threat that’ll have a 50/50 chance of working. Just print something out with some official looking letterhead and mail it to them. Anyone can send a C&D, not just attorneys.
Eh, I wouldn’t worry about it TOO much, if this starts appearing on the bulk of listings customers will just learn to ignore it.
Thinking more about the C&D thing, it might not work period, because the “influencer” might not have access to remove it. They probably give Amazon an irrevocable right to use their video as part of the program and Amazon solely determines whether it or not to show it on their pages.
In their defense, it’s probably YouTube. When I upload videos to YouTube, they flip everything. I can’t get it to flip properly, even if I flip it so they can flip it back. I have no idea why, but it is one of the reasons I stopped using YouTube.
The video is GONE.
The guy who posted the video knows me, as he is a dealer for the product, and he wants to continue to buy the product, so he knows that I can simply refuse to sell to him if he grinds my gears even a little bit.
And yes, video CAN sell a product, but only if you have Ron Popeil or Vince the Shamwow guy doing the talking.
