As a buyer, I think that FBA must have already seen its best days.

That’s how I get my groceries from Amazon Fresh delivered to my door. I have no idea how the bulk of the stuff I order from Amazon gets delivered to the package room in our building’s basement.

Not on the Avenues, on the cross-streets. I’ve seen this on 36th st between 1st and 2nd Ave, there’s little park there were I meet a friend often, and an Amazon truck pulls up and “sets up shop” by placing cones behind the truck to keep people from parking too close to their bed. They pull carts out. People appear with Amazon vests, and each take a cart, likely one to a building given the generally 30 to 40 story buildings in the area. I guess they come back for another load when done, as the truck seems to be there all morning. One presumes the same is done in every 5-block or so area. I know that our doorman and concierge deal with piles of packages for only 75 apartments, most childless. Everything seems to be mail-ordered these days, and people’s apartments must be jammed with crap. I am not permitted such things, as I married a very neat, tidy, and dangerous woman who likes to keep the place spotless and clutter-free, so the trick is to not make purchases without careful consideration of the WAP (Wife Approval Factor).

My main experience is from years ago, where I had a few customers in Manhattan. Amazon would often set up in front of one clients store on 2nd Ave, sometimes with 2 or even 3 trucks, totally blocking the view of the store.
His complaints got nowhere.

I suspect that they’ll park on any street wide enough (which precludes a lot of the non-major streets. I least, I hope it does…).
