This is true, there’s probably multiple FCs within “overnight” distance to populated areas, so Amazon’s basically favoring the seller who has inventory at the closer FC because it saves Amazon money.
Definitely not favoring the customer there by making them pay more to save Amazon gas money, but that’s probably what’s happening. That’s actually really chitty of them to do that, but it is what it is.
Hmmmmmm… I didn’t know Uniden changed their name to Kastar???
Total counterfeit / BS listing and they have fooled a lot of people including me. It works great until it burns my effing house down… It even somehow got into Uniden’s store… Well done Blackhat!
When it’s too cheap to be true, it’s fake news.
The battery looks just like the listing and the battery looks exactly like what was in the phone.
Looking at their storefront, I’m getting the impression they’re authorized to supply these batteries. They have 40K lifetime feedback and have a customer service phone # listed. Not the MO of a company misusing others’ IP.
Cunron or some ■■■■ like that. I looked at that. It’s also a different material. The old one was cadmium but I think that’s frowned upon these days. This is a very old phone but it works fine so why not spend $6 on it.
It’s working fine and I’m sure it’s fine but a little peeved…
You’ll notice on Amazon that the generics are exactly the same as the one claiming to be the brand.
Maybe they’re bankrupt because they got sued for toxic battery waste or something. I see none of their products available anywhere, and if your device is old maybe they switched to Kastar to provide their new batteries.
Or Cunron? I might have the name wrong. Not digging through the trash to look.
And yea, it’s going in the trash… That’s what happens to most of the stuff you bring to be “properly recycled” around here. They talk a good game but what they do is quite different.
It’s less about the corporate location (all the products say made in china, this is probably a chinese company w/ a US corporation) and listing quantity, and more about the fact they have 40K feedback. You don’t make it that far if you’re getting weekly infringement notices because you’re lying about what brand your products really are or misusing people’s trademarks.
The reason why the black hats get away with it isn’t because Amazon doesn’t suspend them, it’s because they keep moving to new seller accounts.
