Emergency Amazon contact needed / cancel all open orders due to major software crash

Our company is unaffected, but it could be Neatoscan/UprightLabs. I have a relative who works at one of the Goodwill locations that sells online and they’ve been down since last week due to a cybersecurity incident with Neatoscan.

There’s a thread this morning from someone calling themselves Freindsofthelibrary

Although I question that moniker. Neatoscan is the service that let them down.

They may be friends of the library without being friends with the dictionary!

Asking for buyers to cancel is a big no no

What if you don’t Directly Ask…?

Dear Customer,
Due to an major internal system issue the shipping of your order will be delayed.
If you wish to cancel your order we understand and apologize for the inconvenience.

Hopefully a small handful would cancel.

We have 2 backup servers that copy our main server every night.
You should at least have a pdf of a report that has items and locations stored.
Yikes 40,000 :face_with_spiral_eyes:

That’s better, but it’s Amazon, who knows if THEY will see that as a violation!

If I lost access to my listing program ArtofBooks, I would also lose all of my shelf locations. Definitely something to think about, although I only have a few thousand books, not 40K.

Sorry – too late to edit the typo was mine.

I questioned their chosen name because they don’t sound like a charity volunteer. They sounded more like a widget seller.
