I do not see how they can do that legally But they can license and protect what they digitize,
As for acquiring the libraries of photographers, that can be good business.
There are thousands of images which I digitized and used on my website, Amazon and Ebay which could lead to action against many on the web, if my business model was to do so.
I am a photographer, it is my business. There’s no strategy to rethink. The fact remains that reselling other people’s work as a download is not “handmade” in any shape or form. I remain grateful that Amazon doesn’t allow digital downloads (yet).
Yes, clearly I do. But there’s nothing I can do about it but forge ahead with my own original artwork.
