This fraud looks like it could have legs; how would you stop it (other than Amazon penalizing excessive returners)?
There is some form of rough justice associated with this treatment of a seller with such a wide disparity of price between different venues, not IMO justified by the difference in seller cost or delivery time.
I would like to stand firm on my sense of right vs wrong, but my attitude to both the buyer and seller is negative.
I have, until recently, bought my cheap Chinese crap on EBay because it was cheaper, but recently shifted to Temu with no new negative results.
Why is the price differential a 5X difference?
If someone was doing this to save like 20% I’d say that’s wrong, but in this case it seems like the seller is price gouging on Amazon to take advantage of people.
I wouldn’t buy something with the intent of returning it (I hate returning things, it’s a hassle), but if I found out after I bought something that I got gouged 500% on it I would certainly return it.
