Well, Amazon does have a stake in blood pressure monitors
So it’s in their best interest to give 3P sellers hypertension.

My default handling time still says 2 days.
Same here; it appears that Amazon has not gotten around to us yet.
In my case, that’s not too surprising, as for many years we have appeared to typically be among the last to be onboarded for most any new change(s).
And to note …
Our default has remained as 1 and our item level has remained as 2.
Which is what we expected to be.
Still no changes.
Same here; other than the recent addition of the ‘Locations’ tab, ours hasn’t changed since the Buyer Requested Cancellation setting rolled out:
We’re both probably jinxed, now…
Amazon finally changed my default settings. Luckily, only one order made it through before I went in and changed it all back.
Same here, they just finally tried to get me as well, automatically changing to 1-day handling and Automated Handling Time set to enabled. I got it quick too and changed it back, nothing hurt.
Absolute ridiculousness.
They got me on Monday (6-3-24).
Although I changed it right back, I’m keeping a watchful eye on things, as I don’t trust Amazon not to sneak in and do it again.
And, when editing older listings, I’m entering it at the SKU level too.
Covering the waterfront and all the bases.
Thank you for the bump.
On the theory that Amazon does these things in batches it’s a good idea to go check anytime there are reports of their silent sabotage.
Just double checked; I’m still at 2 for default. But I’ve been pretty vigilant to not ship all my orders as soon as I used to; try to keep at least a few to ship right before the 2-day deadline, so I’m not hitting the magic 85% that earns the “reward”.
So yes, my customers are now getting poorer service than they did in the past. All because of Amazon thinking that they know how to run our business better than we do.
I was under the impression that the “reward” for sooner shipping was on an SKU basis (meaning used booksellers have nothing to be concerned with there)
That would sure be nice if it turns out you are right. I’ve not seen anything specific, other than the mods continually responding to any complaints on the topic with things like “This will make things SO MUCH BETTER for you” (although one did specify the 85% rate; not sure if they meant per sku. But since it’s the DEFAULT, rather than on a per-sku basis, I have my doubts).
Not saying you’re wrong; just saying that Amazon is anything but clear when they mess with us.
I got migrated to Automated handling but I am unable to turn it off.
When I try to turn it off, I get a pop-up asking me why. I selected an option but I am unable to scroll down on this oversized pop-up because there is no slider bar on the right-hand side. How can I submit my reason(s) for waiting to turn off Automated handling time if I can’t scroll down and click on “Submit”?

Have you tried “control key” plus the minus key “-” multiple times to shrink the size of the page you are viewing? (Or command key on a Mac with minus sign)

@ickynicks Thank you. It worked. I tried to change the view screen size in other ways but wasn’t able to make it work.
I did enter a short comment to Amazon in the message box and gave a reason why I couldn’t always fulfill the one-day setting requirement.
And this would be the definition of Amazon at all times.
Weasel/waffle language is there on purpose as far as I can determine. Having everything shrouded in fog and imprecision allows them to play with their ‘rules’ any way they want to fit every situation. If they want you gone they WILL find a way.
I tend to poke the hornet nest quite a bit but TRY to not irritate them enough to boot me (so far).
Thanks for alerting us all that AZ is actively changing this again/still… I haven’t been hit again (yet) but will be keeping a watchful eye!
Is this on your phone?
No, it was on my laptop. Got it taken care of now. Thanks.
