To CMA I put them on all bags, that way Amazon can’t say anything. Under $0.01 cost for less headaches is a win for me. Your results may vary
it’s weird. all my sheets that are heavy 6lb+ and 13 x 9 x 6 usually, are “Standard”, and my 15oz item is UsLargeStandardSize
what’s Standard? I don’t see it on a chart.
not to say that jungle scout could be wrong… but…
my towels are my lightest item and 2nd smallest i have
My bed sheets are heavy and large…
could JS be right here?
JS and H10 simply crawl the marketplace and pull the data that’s there, so should be right, or at least accurate to the data that’s in the marketplace.
This is
@TJB , thank you!
Yep, hitting that 30%-ish on a $15 (rounded up to nearest $5 increment), and I know you’re watching very closely to make sure it stays there.
What sticks out to us is the 15.02oz is in a package with a dimension 35 inches …
For ground shipping via USPS Ground Advantage, you’ll pay more if your package measures: Between 22 and 30 inches long: add $4.00. More than 30 inches long: add $8.40. More than 2 cubic feet (3,456 cubic inches): add $18.00
That is most likely reason for the Large Bulky vs Large Standard.
I think this is dependent on a number of factors such as cost of product, quantity sold, size of shipments, price (fees less if sale price is under $10) are just to name a few.
I always look at the total fee in manage inventory and subtract that from my sales price. From there, I calculate anywhere between .15 to .25 per unit for FBA inbound in addition to cost of goods sold. For certain other products, it can range between .50 and .60 per unit.
One way I manage inbound shipment costs is to make sure I split it up between 5 different FC to save inbound placement fees as well as where those shipments are going. If I don’t like the shipment breakdown, I’ll wait about 12 hours or so (sometimes until the next day) and the algos will change where my destinations are. THIS is where I get a large portion of my savings as sometimes Amazon will have me send everything to the WC whereas other times, I’ll send things to the Midwest and East Coast, which results in a huge cost savings.
I’m getting everything packaged tight as possible for FBA size tiers, and for FBM shipping because those protruding corners can also cause ridiculous postage adjustments.
yes, and I’m not sure how they are getting this increment. not sure what attribute is supplying that.
Every item has dimension attributes … either you put them in or they got changed if those are wrong and need to be corrected.
Item Package Dimensions
10cm
22.8cm
28cm
the only thing with this is the Item Display attribute.
“Without packaging and fully assembled”
or, Item Dimensions
“Length and Width in ready to use condition”
has to be one of these. but should have no bearing on packaging and shipping
