Electric vehicles aren’t sustainable, they are actually more expensive and have little effect on the environment due to energy consumption.

Most of those claims have either been debunked or shown to be exaggerated to allow for a straw man or red herring arguement for a political point or industry agenda. The science is clear, the economics/politics are not thanks to subsidies.
Now that we have had the cars for a while, we have established battery recycling industries, another concern that vanished a few years after EV’s became popular, negating most of that straw man.
