Today I’m honoring my deceased dad and grandads (who all did the best they could), my brother who is THE fun uncle and trusted non-parent to my kids, my stepdad and father-in-law who are amazing grandparents, and Mr Papy, who has fulfilled prophecy to be exactly the best father to our children. None of these fellows are/were perfect, but nobody is, and it’s the trying to let a kid know that they are seen and that they matter that’s important. Hats off to the gentlemen who try to get it right, EVERY day 🥳
