Hmm.. did Amazon "optimize" their automated repricer?

So, I’m against another seller who’s also (presumably) using the Amazon repricer, now, their price was $29.50 at the time I activated my repricer to stay 10 cents below them. About 5 minutes after I activated the repricer, my price dropped to $26.90 and their price dropped to $27 in a SINGLE ACTION (which is what I’m presuming their price floor is). There have been no changes in the price since then.

So if 2 sellers are using Amazon’s repricer, it seems they’ve “optimized” it to dump to the floor price of one of the sellers immediately.
