Doncha just _love_ the efficiencies instilled into complicated logistics chains (among others of similar ilk, in both private and public sectors) by a **too** -predominate of a dependence upon automated mechanisms, unadulterated by the merest modicum of horse sense in setting the parameters for them?

If you want to have some fun, ship something with a reused box, with the old label not covered. That has the potential to bounce around until the box disintegrates.

A few months back, I was trying to mail international 1st class postage for Canada online, but the USPS website wouldn’t sell me postage because it said my phone number was invalid. Umm, I’ve had that number for 40+ years and it works just fine, thank you.

It is amazing how often that happens. Not kidding, 75% of the lost packages we submit for are suddenly “found”
