I know this is far from a record but Amazon really needs to do something about this.

Got a charge to my Account for other which had me scratching my head.
I go to transaction view, it’s for a refund and return postage charge.

Scratching my head again as I have no open returns. Look it up
the purchase is from 12/2025.

The customer opened 2 return requests and is now using the 2nd label.

I can’t wait to see what I get from this as it was one of the rejected safe-T-Claims

Check the location scans…are you sure they (meaning Amazon) didn’t just re-use that tracking number for a new order from a completely different seller and buyer?

You have a point, the origin is in OK and the buyer is from MN
But why would Amazon charge me?

Incompetence.
Amazon has mostly stopped charging sellers for shipping, returns, overcharges, etc related to tracking numbers currently being reused by someone else, but it still crops up from time to time. This was very common a couple years ago

Any idea how to report it to get credit?

I don’t know that you can.

I would open this case via phone to make sure they understand, follow up with a reply on the case once the case is open and put everything in writing including the tracking scans.
You do you, but that is what I would do!

Just got charged for yet another return for a 2nd time for postage. Been On the line with Amazon for 30 min waiting for the Customer service rep to verify I am correct even though I pulled it up in 30 seconds by doing a transaction search using the order ID

The support guy kept talking in circles but finally acknowledged the double charge for both orders. He “escalated it” to an internal team for “possible reimbursement” if there “is a mechanism for providing a reimbursement”

Yes seriously he said there may be no way to reimburse me

their answer
file a safe-T claim

Which will be automatically denied based on lack of photos of the item

You aren’t asking for the item cost back unless the return is RFS, and it shouldn’t be. Still, Amazon, so you never know.

Assuming not RFS, you are just asking for the return shipping back, so pictures of the item shouldn’t be needed. You are asking for reimbursement for an out of policy return label.

Doesn’t matter it’ has been more than 30 days since the refund was issued, so I can’t open or reopen the safe-T - claims for them

They are basically making me jump through hoops because they don’t know how to correct errors.

Ooof.
