You’ll find that bots are (at least partly) responsible for almost all Amazon processes.
Often times things will be reviewed automatically first, and only if it passes that will an actual human look at it. For registration purposes, if the bot can’t make sense of your documents, they won’t waste a human’s time looking at it, you’ll just be asked to resubmit it over and over until you give something acceptable.
