On the “consistency is key” tab of Amazon, here are my numbers going the two routes…

The piece of S part of me knows that my primary competitors are parts aggregators, who use hordes of small dealers to fulfill their orders and to lower prices by selling old inventory…They will doom the aggregator for sure.
Do I hate this policy… Absolutely.

I have nothing new to add, I’m just here to pile on.
This completely predictable turn of events has no utility or value to buyers and shafts sellers.

There are two different reporting times. Top one is based on 138 business orders and bottom one is based on 142 business orders. That tells us that the reporting times are different.

I mean, clearly. Good eye on the small screenshot. I had gotten that far. Yet, that doesn’t answer the question of why are there two different reports?
It’s conflicting information

> Amazon allows residential addresses to say “we are commercial”

Buyers are using their Amazon Business account for personal orders. It’s BS. Amazon allows anyone to claim they are a business AFAIK. And they allow businesses to use a business account for personal purchases. In my world, rarely is a business order for a business purpose. I don’t sell business supplies, one or two quantity orders of what I do sell would not have a business purpose. Once in a great while I will get a large quantity order from a business, maybe twice a year. Most of those are ordering from FBA offers.

If they want us to deliver within business hours stated by the account, they should give us a longer deliver-by window on those orders so we can choose the economical option our pricing is based on.

Maybe there should be a business delivery fee? UPS has different fees based on residential vs business address (I know their residential is higher, I think because historically before the online shopping boom, they were mostly a business to business operation and routes were near businesses more than in neighborhoods.)

One of my first posts in the OFSE was precisely complaining about this
[https://sellercentral.amazon.com/forums/t/anyway-to-limit-business-price-to-commercial-addresses-exclude-residential-addresses/802376](https://sellercentral.amazon.com/forums/t/anyway-to-limit-business-price-to-commercial-addresses-exclude-residential-addresses/802376)
It’s not fair to have to give a discount for businesses and then pay the surcharge for residential.
HDMS, whom I always thought one of the most knowledgeable posters, didn’t see the problem with it, showing how as an FBA seller he was detached from the problem.
The years have gone by (and my volume grown), I’ve negotiated with the carriers to waive the residential surcharge, but I have also decided that if you’re a business and are expecting business discounts, then buy freaking volume.
I sell commodities where the 12-pack is the base. I’m not going to offer a discount on a $50 12-pack that most people buy for their houses. If you want a business discount, buy like a business and get at least a 36 pack.

I fully understand the B2B arrangement and like it.
It’s like the 2-day shipping. I enjoy it and benefit from it.

If Amazon makes it impossible for me to use either one (it has taken the 2-day from me twice for nonsense that has been immediately reinstated with a POS POA), so be it.
It’s like SFP, I tried it, I would have benefitted from it, it was just a bunch of additional statistics that were geographically impossible to meet (ground shipping does not receive-to-ship on weekends, and FL is more than 4-days from a lot of states). So, you know what, not worth the headaches

PS, @Dogtamer, I really thought you’d comment on the “derriere fornication”

Not necessarily, as more than a few 3P Sellers have been reporting in various biz-discussion venues ever since the opening salvo on the BHDR front - the 021626 News Headline “Monitor your business hour delivery rate” @ https: [//sellercentral.amazon.com/seller-news/articles/QVRWUERLSUtYMERFUiNHTEM2R0NMREw4VkdIN1Za](https://sellercentral.amazon.com/seller-news/articles/QVRWUERLSUtYMERFUiNHTEM2R0NMREw4VkdIN1Za) - brooked the light of day (including today in the Headline-accompanying NSFE discussion our friend @UserID linked upthread).

Since that Feb Headline was published, there have also been multiple reports of sellers abandoning the B2B Program entirely, strictly as a result (I see more of that in the NSFE discussion today, as well), which is not something we ourselves want to do - but this latest draconian measure might well force us to disable our few remaining FBM/AFN B2B SKUs for the products which draw such interest (many, if not most, of our institutional Buyers already buy from us direct).

Well, Red Sparrow shows their business hours as closing at 2:30 every day.

I guess after the deadline, they won’t be able to order any books from Amazon sellers any more, as I suspect every single one of us will have business purchases shut down.

You left out the extended terms too.

This is one of the factors I bring up each time Amazon Business tries to ask for more. I said “They are your customers, you pay the 30 day terms”.

I am not in the B2B program, I do not offer business pricing, yet I am still expected to deliver within business hours when a ‘business’ account orders from my FBM listings,

and _ **be** _ a business if you want special delivery treatment!

I don’t blame you for reserving discounts to volume buyers, that’s how it works in the real world.

Here is the link that we use, I have it as a shortcut at the top of the browser.

[FBus Perf](https://sellercentral.amazon.com/seller-fulfilled-product/analytics/ref=xx_msfp_dnav_xx#FULFILLMENT_INSIGHT_DASHBOARD) I use it mostly to make sure I have been shipping ONLY on the day they want us to. So I delight the customer with later shipments. Our score today is 0.3 down from 2.5 when we tried to be nice a few weeks ago.

We have all seen this with a note, “it is not mandatory” and we all knew the day would come.

So now I can’t ship early to make sure it arrives on the right business day when they are open, and I need to be sure it arrives when they are open.

I have seen businesses that put in they are open two hours a day three days a week.

Anyone in eCommerce for a few years knows UPS and FedEx will bring it the next day, or put a tag on the door. The USPS will put it in a safe place or leave a tag to call the post office.

**This is so not our problem.**

The Amazon B2B program was a stupid idea. Few sellers signed up initially and participation was mandated for all sellers, along with the Net 30 terms.

During my time as an Amazon seller 100% of my Amazon Business buyers were tiny companies. The big companies and institutions I sold to were not part of the Amazon Business program.

I guess the numbers suck again, and this is an attempt to fill some tiny brained tiny company owner’s wishlist.

IMO many sellers should want to have their participation in the program blocked.

It might be a great enhancement to Selling on Amazon.

The AI book buying is destined to cease, perhaps by when this goes into effect.

Yet another stupid policy.

Amazon obviously doesn’t recognize that most of their sellers sell elsewhere, too. Go for it Amazon…suspend FBM for businesses…they will just go get it on another site from the same seller.

Well, when they clean up around their silos they get this –

This is ridiculous! FBM sellers have no control over the date the shippers we use to deliver our items to Amazon customers. I have never had a complaint over delivery on the wrong day from any customer, business, or not.

Amazon is using false and useless metrics to get rid of their 3P sellers.

Wondering… how is this working out for Amazon’s sellers in China?
