New business hour delivery requirement for seller-fulfilled shipments

I mentioned this to the clerk at the PO today (who also does a bit of selling online). Her reaction was roughly “WTF??”
She thought it was one of the stupidest things she’d heard.

Because… it is.

In other words for Amazon it’s tuesday.

I can confirm that. When I order I check both my business account and personal account. Some things are only available to business sellers and/or business prices can sometimes be better.

Brought to you by Amazon, when we scrape the bottom, we keep digging.

And HOLY CRAP:
Business Hour Delivery Rate
100%
Jun 10, 2026 - Jun 23, 2026
Target: ≥ 90%

2 Businesses though

I would highly suspect they are exempt from any and all metrics that Amazon imposes on us U.S. based sellers. After all, they are darn near exempt from everything else. Why would this be any different.

I am a bit confused with this statement’s “retail offer eligibility will not be impacted”

does it mean that I am not able to offer business price (a lot more discount of course) but can still sell with retail price to business customers ?

OR does it mean that I am totally blocked from selling to any business customers ?

I’m guessing you won’t be offered on the B2B site, but you will be offered on the B2C site.

I read it as you will be blocked from selling to business accounts, regardless of any B2B settings.

But it’s Amazon; they probably don’t know the real answer.

I also read it as B2B is okay if it’s FBA.

My guess is that it will be handled by business buyers not seeing offerings from any non-compliant seller.

But the other part “it’s Amazon, they probably don’t know” is the best bet.

We are dealing with this but on the buyer side. Purchased 3 things for the business (yes, real things we’ll use here). Got offered Prime Business free for 30 days. Sure. Said we’d get items next day. That was yesterday. 'Out for delivery" forever. Our account says we close at 4pm. Nothing. Stayed until after 6pm. Nothing. Had to leave. Got an email at 8:05pm saying they couldn’t deliver. Duh. So today I chatted “customer service” and was told we’ll make sure it’s delivered today. Then got a call from the DSP who was like yeah we’ll definately get it delivered to you today before the close of business. Well. There’s still no driver assigned to this route. So I’m not holding my breath.

FWIW, they were all FBA items, some sold by Amazon and 3P.

Well, I’m glad I read through this thread.

I found 8 listing policy violations. I’m like what? They removed my description on 8 items. When I looked, it’s what I was talking about in my other thread about what NOT to have in a title that used to be OK. going through and removing page breaks when I came here to share something else completely. And the work piles on.

The hypocrisy continues to astound.

After my chat with “customer service” I got a phone call from the DSP assuring me it would come today. Well, guess what…it was delivered – to the warehouse neighbor. At least they took a picture so I could figure out where it was. Luckly the employee snack fun fruits weren’t melted.

Not terribly important business deliveries here, but Amazon Fresh has sometimes marked my order delivered, 30 minutes before the actual delivery! Panic ensues, since I live in a 600+ unit apartment building. Other times, my groceries have been left at the wrong apartment, and only an alert neighbor and a building employee willing to re-deliver saved the day.

At least it wasn’t UPS. They delivered my laptop to the wrong apartment. It was signed. They don’t care who signs or where. If it’s signed, they consider it delivered. Luckily, the neighbor was honest.

Nowadays, I wonder if I should have any expensive items signed, because if it’s signed, they might not cover it.
