> Starting October 26, 2026, if you create new listings or edit existing listings for select categories, you’ll be required to answer new compliance questions to help us identify dangerous goods, enable more ship methods, and reduce unnecessary disposal costs and fees.
>
> The new questions apply to the following product categories:
>
> - Refrigerators, air conditioners, freezers and similar products — to confirm refrigerant gas properties
> - Shock absorbers and suspension lift supports — questions about the shock-absorbing mechanism
> - Markers and writing instruments — questions about ink properties
> - Pool and spa water treatment products (pool chemicals) — questions about chemical composition and packaging
>
> If you have existing listings in any of these categories, you don’t need to take action before October 26, 2026. These required questions will appear the next time you create or edit a listing. Accurate, complete answers help your listing go live without delays.
>
> To see the compliance questions you may be asked during listing, go to [Dangerous goods (hazmat) required information and documentation](https://sellercentral.amazon.com/gp/help/G201371860).

As I’ve been known to mention a time or two or more before, it’s part of my job description to keep a keen peeled on what Amazon rolls down the pike.

In regard to News Headlines, I record the Title, the News Headline ID (“QVRWUERLSUtYMERFUiNHVDU1UjVRS0xES04zVkhH” in this particular case), the URL (‘broken’ above so as to render it ‘clickable’ in the Discourse Platform supporting the SAS Forum), and the full-text of what Amazon originally publishes in these News Headlines (as quoted above).

I also record the same for each and every News Headline-accompanying NSFE discussion tied to this or that Headline; the URL for this one can be found @ https: [//sellercentral.amazon.com/seller-forums/discussions/t/ad12f62b-df95-42bf-a342-10fd3ddad196](https://sellercentral.amazon.com/seller-forums/discussions/t/ad12f62b-df95-42bf-a342-10fd3ddad196).

Among the several reasons why I do this is the fact that the seasoned & savvy forum veterans - upon whose might shoulders I still, today, stand - long ago wised me up to the fact that Amazon’s Editorial Team tends to be rather slip-shod in publishing information.

In my experience, the initial post of the Headline-accompanying NSFE discussion(s) _usually_ tacks **closely** along the same course, and simply reproduces the full text of the published News Headline.

Following said sage’s advice has given me more than one leg-up when deviances occur, as has now happened with the full text of the initial post of the afore-linked NSFE discussion ( **emphasis mine** ):

Because I’ve seen more than a mere few posts suggesting that the new requirements went into effect last month, in August - in the NSFE and related biz-discussion venues alike - I’m fairly certain that Silo-manglement has yet again come into play.

Some say “God Is In The Details”; some say “The Devil Is In The Details.”

That’s not a philosophical question I’m qualified to parse, @ least not from where I presently sit upon this mortal coil.

Still, I do believe strongly in something learned @ the feet of me Elders:

Details MATTER.
