The ongoing Product Types & Attributes/Attribute Harmonization/Size Normalization Initiatives (which are all part & parcel of the same thing, but administered by diverse teams) has been known to throw more than a singular monkey-wrench in that long-reliable procedure; when faced with situations such as yours, where the CLR/RFR is of no help, I’ll head over to the APvU (“Add Products via Upload”) Dashboard, target the Browse Tree’s Leaf Node, and download that flat-file (which, as the Category & FEEDS Team taught me many years back, is generally the first place that changes will appear) and examine it for signs of relief.

As if on cue, today’s 1st News Headline reinforces the above point from yesterday’s reply; our friend ASV linked and quoted the headline in this SAS/SellersAskSellers thread:
