I saw a Canadian press conference where it was stated that Canada will match the US Tariffs dollar-for-dollar. Assuming the US tariffs go into effect September 8, and Canada follows suit immediately, I’m looking at an additional 50% tariff on 2 of my 3 HS codes that I sell on [Amazon.com](http://Amazon.com) and Amazon.ca that ship to Canada. Since I must include DDP on all Canadian-delivered orders, I have to massively adjust my [Amazon.com](http://Amazon.com) shipping templates for Canada to include this. Or, I just delete Canada from the [Amazon.com](http://Amazon.com) templates. For my Amazon.CA listings, I can just increase all my prices 50% higher to accommodate the increased tariff expense that is seller-burdened. Is there a more elegant way to handle the expected 50% tariff increases for product shipping to Canada from the US? The silver lining here is that I have some Canadian hijackers that are on some of my Amazon.CA listings. Once I increase my prices, I will lose even more of my brand’s Buy Boxes to these hijackers. When the order lands in their freight-forwarding warehouses in the US, the tariffs become the responsibility of the hijacker. That will be a nice surprise for them.
