They ended prime shipping for even inside your home.
I got the letter that I need to switch to family plan where only 1 other adult and 2 children at the same address can access prime benefits.
All I had on shared benefits was my business account and my wife.
Are we talking separate logins here for family members on 1 account?
So I know I share my prime with the better half of the house, different logins, created independently long ago, and AFAIK no email has been rcvd that that is ending.
The program the article mentions is separate accounts linked as a family.
The article seems to be saying that Amazon is requiring a family to only include people living at the same address, implying that before linked accounts could be at different addresses. If that is correct, this wouldn’t impact you.
This seems to have hit national/local tv news and it clarifies it a little bit by stating “People outside your household.”
So if you have a kid at college they MAY NOT qualify anymore
I still don’t know how Amazon can stop the sharing of credentials. Geotargeting? What if I am away? Amazon gonna stop me from using the account I paid for? I don’t think so.
I mean they seem to know how to find linked accounts on the seller side quite well, so they will need to hire those guys again to code this!
They haven’t said that they want to stop this.
@ASV_Vites , you are not wrong, you can still send orders practically anywhere you want. Years ago I even had one delivered to the Philippines. I don’t really get what they’re stopping here, because like @Pepper_Thine_Angus I share an account with my better half - separate logins, but same account and I have not received any emails either.

This is exactly the situation that was allowed. It is still allowed for orders and video as long as the college kid’s primary residential address is your home.

But, say, sharing a Prime account with your in-laws who primarily reside in another state probably will no longer work. Although, yes, in theory you could place their order and ship it to them.
