The U.S. Postal Service observes 11 official holidays annually, including Juneteenth. Post offices will be closed on Wednesday, June 19, and the Postal Service will not deliver regular mail or packages on that date.
Thanks for the reminder; I meant to check when I saw that our town calendar (mainly for recycling) put Juneteenth on Friday!
Wasn’t sure if this was going to be one of those holidays like July 4 that is always on the right day, or more like Memorial Day that is moved to a Monday. But I was pretty sure that Friday is wrong! (although perhaps no garbage pick-up that day; our town is a bit weird).
