Walmart only offers 20% of the return dispute?

FYI

A customer returned an item and it came back crushed. We made a dispute (like a safe-t claim) We were reimbursed $9.23 for an item that sold for $54.27.

Response…
After reviewing the details of your case, I can confirm that a 20% reimbursement has already been applied to this order. As outlined in Walmart’s policy, if an item is returned in Original packaging is missing or damaged condition, the maximum reimbursement that can be offered is limited to 20%. Unfortunately, we are unable to offer any additional reimbursement beyond this amount

Now I know, I guess. Would have been nice to supply the link to the policy in their reply.

& Yes $9.23 is not 20%

Ooooh it get’s spicier..

Still trying to find the 20% thing in the policies, but found this.

Once you receive Walmart’s final decision in the appeal, the decision, and any reimbursement (if applicable) will constitute full and final payments and settlement from Walmart.

You cannot appeal a final decision. If you’ve received a final decision from Seller Support and if you continue to challenge it, you may be subject to a performance review and/or further actions, including suspension or termination.

Termination?! for questioning???

I suspect that’s there as a threat to keep people from harassing support reps rather than an intended outcome for honest queries, but you never know.

Just remember, they warned you …

Wow and I thought Amazon’s sourcing cost was bad…
