No need to mandate anything. Market will decide. Nothing wrong with incentivizing things though
Different needs for different people. We have solar and my wife, my mother, most of my neighbors, my brother and his wife only drive to work 30-50 miles a day and they all have solar, most have batteries now. The gas portion is kind of irrelevant for many homeowners with solar, or in low energy priced areas. My SIL got a Ioniq5 with a 300 mile range, and have only used a non home charger 2x and those were to go on a road trip with us.
We do it for farmers due to tariffs, so why not do it to ensure further oil independence with EV’s.
You Dam Commulist
You only listed one “…ist”. I am many “…ist’s” to many different people. Funny enough, two opinions are never the same, making it a “them” problem. ![]()
Many people who have used the “…ist” label can be easily identified as “…arded”. (not referring to you obviously)
Sadly, reason is no longer in control. Consider it “mandated”: link
Summary: $250 fee for evehicles, $100 for hybrids in the big beautiful bill proposal.
