450 days is more than fair.

Yeah, I had to pull some things back because I forgot Walmart was a website we sold on.

I should really look into getting that all fixed up.

This announcement is about adding a long-long term storage fee.
They already have 365+ fees. WFS Long-term Storage Fees Effective August 1, 2024

I agree though, if you keep your stuff there that long, you are just using them as cheap storage and it’s fair for them to charge more.

  1. Applies to non-peak periods. Peak season storage fees may apply from October to December.

Is WMT doing Peak Storage Fees? AFAIK, they weren’t. No inventory limits either.

Remember when Amazon was sort of seller focused / rewarding. That ship sailed, boy I tell you…

Well then. Not a rousing endorsement of WM as sales channel :winking_face_with_tongue:

We got the same email, we sent some honey pot items when we started many years ago on Walmart. Forgot about them completely, and did not care about them. We went on holiday “vacation” in all our channels while we were moving. In the last 5 months I noticed payments from Walmart coming in. Did not think much of it.

Then I remembered, sending in the items when we started, (they have never billed us as far as I know) then we got off to a bad start. Our first sale was and item we have sold 10’s of thousands of in other channels including our own. The person that bought it (competitor?) left a 1 star on us the seller and 1 star review on the product.

Is what it was, we lost our excitement for the new channel.

I guess I have to figure out how to recall these, before my grandchildren get a bill for $XX gazilion dollars after I am gone.

It’s about 5% of what we do on Amazon, but I wouldn’t take that as a real world example.

We didn’t optimize our listings for Walmart, never set up advertising with them, and I’m not even sure our entire selection is available.

I set us up on every eCommerce platform I could access, but the effort and investment was never put into them.
