I won too!

I hadn’t caught the banjo discussion but feel I have to add an interesting alternative.

Bela Fleck and his wife Abigail Washburn play different banjo styles. He plays finger picked banjo while she plays clawhammer and the results they get by blending the styles are pretty amazing.

Nope, only made it to Dec 23. I was in the car–my ancient car with a radio–and a cover version came on. And it was not enjoyable. So without thinking I reached over to the radio buttons to scroll through the pre-sets, and ALAS
Wham on the very next station. :woman_facepalming:

If you have a satellite radio and sit under an over pass bridge, you can avoid listening to just about anything you want to avoid. If you want to avoid everything, you would also need a roll of duck tape for all passenger mouths who are complaining that you are sitting under the over pass bridge.

I prefer REAL music – 50’s and 60’s ROCK – so Sirius/XM is on most of the day but I did see this today about a college Classical music station –
"The Charlotte Observer wrote, “WDAV made radio history by topping the Charlotte market and becoming the first ever classical music radio station to be No. 1 in any market in the country.”

Today is Bob Dylan’s birthday.

So while listening to my usual Sunday night blues radio (KJZZ from Phoenix, streaming everywhere), they played a long set of Dylan being covered by various groups.

I like Dylan (seen him in concert twice, I think). And nothing against the Staples Singers. But man, their covers of Dylan songs are dreadful! “Blowin’ In The Wind” simply doesn’t work in “call and response” style of singing!

Thankfully, the Dylan tribute ended before I switched it off.
