2 Orders in One Package, I can't add the tracking

A customer placed 2 different orders today (for different items) and I want to ship them in one package. I bought Michaels shipping label for 1 order. When I attempt to put the tracking number on the second order, it errors with Tracking Number Already Exists.

It’s after 5pm. so I had to send an email to seller support and wait for a reply.

Does anyone know a way to brute force the tracking number so I can mark the order shipped?

BTW, this is my first order since July 2025.
26 items total since the start.

What I have heard in the past (and this may have changed) is that you just had to re-enter the tracking after it spits it back out.

??
There’s only one place to input the tracking, and it errors every time.

Okay, that has changed then. I don’t think you are going to be able to enter tracking. Just have to confirm without. Hopefully you sent a message with both numbers to the buyer before confirming.

Impressive response time from Michael’s email support:

Thank you for contacting us!

Currently, marking multiple orders as shipped using the same tracking number is not available. However, we understand that there are instances where shipping multiple orders from the same customer is efficient. I’ve passed on the enhancement request to our support team. MakerPlace by Michaels is a new experience. We are still adding improvements and are confident that feedback like yours will make us that much better!

Per your request, I’ve marked Order xxxx
as shipped. Since the order was placed as ‘Guest’. I’ll let your customer know the correct tracking information and clarify that both orders were shipped together.

If I may be of further assistance on this topic, please let me know. I’m here to help!

Oy! I apologize. I didn’t realize this wasn’t an Amazon question. I just thought you meant you bought one label somewhere else.

My reply was based on the Amazon assumption.

Your last post with the entire response you received made me realize my error.

If an Amazon agent sent such an email I would just assume they are lying to get rid of you.

No good deed goes unpunished.

My experiences with combining orders… order not received, both orders then lost. “I ordered separately so I could forward one as a gift”.

The only venue we combine shipments is our own website.

Doing so on other venues doesn’t make sense with all the given pitfalls that can happen.
