8451 Error

I do believe I’ve complained about 8451 errors before, but a search didn’t bring it up.

I got a policy violation on my own branded listing.

Parent listing is deactivated,so I think that’s causing all the child listings to also be deactivated.

But dang the computer went nuts on me.

Can’t get Amazon on the phone or chat.

Is my first step to delete the parent and see if the children will all be active?

I have no idea why the computer assigned a different item type key word category to everything. Nuts…I remember trying to get some fixed in June and kinda gave up. In this case Walmart was so much easier…

I don’t ever recall seeing a parent deactivation affecting the children in the deactivation area. I believe they should still show, but individually.

I’d say yes. I have no issues ever with deleting and recreating a parent ASIN.

Side note, my parents have minimal data to try to prevent category switches.

I think I’ve done the same think for the 8451 error as well

Interesting idea!

I am also having item type keyword category changes by the system on my branded products which is causing big problems. I got a variation violation for what I think is due to the system putting a child listing into a category different from what I entered for the parent. I might start using the templates again to create new listings. This may help with this problem.
