A-Z claim as a buyer

I purchased a $150 item which required assembly of about an hour. When I was 3/4 of the way through, I noticed that the item didn’t have a key thing that was showing in their photos. I reached out to them and told them the item I received didn’t have this feature and it was a main reason I purchased it from them. They asked for photos of the item and of the box and screen shots of their item showing this feature. All their listing photos and A+ content show this thing. This item is major function piece. You can buy with or without, I prefer with. I told them I could either return this item( large, heavy item) or I may be willing to accept a discount because it will be a PIA to take a part and ship. They offered me $10 and apologized - which is a joke. So I am probably going to just return it and purchase exactly what I want from another seller. I just think that this will be returned, cannot be resold and all the fees the seller would incur - this was FBM they are from China per their listing and customer service there as well (assuming because of the time of day I got the reply and they way the emails read). Would this be a time I do a a-z claim? I purchased this under my business Amazon account, can an A-Z claim hurt my business at all with Amazon? My main concern is if this would have any backlash on my own business. If they made more of an effort to make it right I could probably deal with it but purchasing this function piece and use it separately, its not ideal but I would have done that - this function piece would cost about $35 - 50 and would not be as good as if it were actually part of the product itself.

No, request return first unless that was the option you choose to contact them about the missing part

I reached out originally with the button “there is an issue with my item”

ok, yes, request a return first (AtoZ should force that first anyway)
