Add products returns error message

I try to use ‘add products’, and I get an error message: “Unexpected Application Error!”
followed by “Illegal constructor”. ( I think that this is a Javascript error message )

The silver lining here is that I was only going to list a few books on Amazon. Most of my inventory now gets listed on eBay anyway.

FWIW, I’m running Firefox on Ubuntu. And, yes, I have rebooted.

The one thing that gives me hope is that downdetector has been showing an unusually high number of errors this evening. So it might get better.

Amazon has been doing some category realignment this week. Most likely something to do with that.

Yeah, there are a few discussions posted on the NSFE about this as well.

It’s Amazon – if it ain’t broken just update it until it is…

I’m not seeing it right now, but I’ve seen it quite a few times over the last 3-4 years.

I saw issues yesterday too, but not today.

Possibly it was tied to the GUI Update for the Account Switcher.

As suspected, it was an Amazon error. It disappeared a day later.
As usual, Amazon did not admit to anything. It just quietly got fixed.

I like downdetector.

Side note, the AS was changed back to the old version and still remains that way 11112024
