Almost my entire catalog search suppressed

Nice. All for non-white backgrounds.

Guess what? They all HAVE white backgrounds. I make my listing images in photoshop, always have. Always have followed the rules. Blah. Opened a case, but honestly I don’t have the energy to deal with this nonsense.

I had a couple of those too, already have a white background boarder, but get suppressed. I reworked the same main image in photoshop to make the white background a little bigger, and then added that new image as the main image. The suppression went away pretty fast.

I can see when you have hundreds listings, doing it that way can be a lot of work.

Maybe you can try just delete the original main image and re-enter it (without re-do) to see if the system will take it?

Sorry this happened right at Amazon’s Big Deals days.

I had 3 or 4 and did just that - made the white border larger. No go.

I’m not reworking all of them - I have zero time for it. I submitted a case, we shall see.

@LR72 any interest in moving this topic to the public area? See if others have been caught in the bot net?

Sure - no problem.

They fixed ONE and want an excel file of the rest - no idea how to even do that without typing every one up, which I’m not doing.

If anyone knows of a way to export them to a spreadsheet - please let me know. I thought the inactive report would, but it doesn’t.

So sorry this is happening. So are they saying to upload the same images you had before? Or are they saying to upload a new compliant image? Did they say there was anything non compliant with your existing images or was it a glitch the took you down?

The error says to replace with a compliant image. But they are all most definitely compliant.

I opened the case with one SKU and they said ‘We fixed it, it was compliant.’

But now they want an excel spreadsheet with the other 457.

You can get the image locations from a CLR report (at least on mine) but I noticed on my current CLR, with all the mess going on right now, my SKU numbers are intact, but the ASIN#s are blacked out for much of the report. Not much help here.

Amazon actually helped me. Here are the steps, in case anyone comes across this:

  1. Go to Manage all inventory
  2. Click on “Activate listings”
  3. Click on “Fix your products” hyperlink
  4. Select “Invalid information”
  5. Download the Search suppressed listings report

It’s a .txt file - hopefully they’ll take it.

I wanted to just double check … and I don’t see the “Invalid Information” on the left side. I do within the list returned.

Maybe it’s because my images are OK though.

Finally, I’m not seeing an option to download … Hummmmmmmmmmmmm

The option to download was in the upper right - it’s probably because you don’t have any?

I now have 542. So yay? This is ridiculous.

They told me it’s the shadows. I sell art, there’s a drop shadow to show that it’s art. Then there’s a white background. But apparently the shadow (I mean…what?) is triggering the bot.

Honestly between this and the reclassification mess and the GTIN stuff…I might just toss it in on Amazon, it’s just too much work and I don’t have the time with my home situation anymore.

So it depends on what you select on the left.

… gives me …

The frustration continues.

This is the flow currently:

  • Listing images are fine. Bot says no.
  • I update images anyway.
  • Still suppressed.
  • I open a case with the list of the ASINS I changed that day
  • Bot auto-replies that the images are bad, have lifestyle elements, don’t show the product, etc.
  • I reply that they fit the requirements.
  • Person replies that they are escalating to tech team.
  • 3-4 days later “You’re right, they are in compliance, we will remove the restriction.”

I have almost 500 of these. SMH
