What the title says. I’ve had a bunch of descriptions changed from a paragraph to one line - not even a sentence. Maybe that’s why sales are so slow.

That’s nice. Bet that isn’t happening to Amazon’s PL or 1P listings.
Is the backend also changed, or just what’s being displayed on the PDP?

Amazon started doing this early 2025. They were experimenting with it but would gave a heads up to sellers and asked for feedback instead of just changing your listings. I was “lucky” enough to be selected and as the OP is saying, the results weren’t great. I haven’t heard anything about it since but apparently they are happy enough with the AI results they might be rolling it out without notifications of any changes to our listings.

That’s nuts. There have been things like this before where AI changed things like the title but the backend always remained preserved. So basically Amazon erased your work and if you didn’t have that saved anywhere, it’s gone for good. Nice.

It’s the epitome of ignorance that they think their AI can better describe your handmade items.
There seems to be a push to homogenize everything, what’s different, special, unique gets lost to the mission to streamline and consolidate the detail page information; make it fit into their box regardless of what’s lost. Condescending. It’s a disservice to the buyers and the sellers.
