No email (yet) but in Seller Central today:

At least I still have mi amigo Mexico… to not sell in anyways:

[playful sarcasm] So when can I get Greenland added to the Americas? I want to get a head start selling there. [/playful sarcasm]

And this finally hit our account. We don’t remember getting an email but, if it was a time back, we probably read it and deleted it as we do not sell in CA or BR or MX nor do we ever intend to.

Canada isn’t even on my list anymore. Mexico is inactive and Brazil is deactivated.

Was Canada deactivated by Amazon first before being removed?

Our sales dropped to zero the day that Canada and Brazil showed up on Seller Central as deactivated. No notice or anything. Today, we decided to look at the Canada site to see what they needed. Only needed address verification from the normal utility bill. Tried to upload one but the system returned that it was busy and to try back in 15 mins (this behavior has been reported on NSFE). Right after trying to do the upload, we received an email from Amazon …

Hello,

Before you can start selling in the Amazon.ca store or receive revenue from your sales, we need to verify additional information about your account in accordance with Canadian laws.

What actions do I need to take?

Visit your Account information page in Seller central to view and complete any required verification steps.

While completing your verification, you can also:

If you have any questions, please contact Seller Support.

Sincerely,

Selling on Amazon.ca Team

We don’t want to sell anywhere but in the US. Wish Amazon would remove CA, MX and BR from our account.

We got around to deleting all offers on Canada and Mexico. Just finished early this weekend. Shutting off all automated listing things too.

We never would or want to sell in Mexico, don’t get me wrong, we did with our own websites. Too many loses and clear fraud AKA rip offs south of the boarder. Canada, was the failure of Canada Post, could never deliver a package in COVID times, still to this day, strikes persist. While we wanted to help them with our brands, not worth the bad ratings due to Canada Post.

For now we continue to monitor the dust settling, 2 days and ZERO products in both countries.

If I could only get rid of the damn split fees. I know, it all ads up to the same, the exchange rate issues drives bookkeeping crazy! And yes Lost My (your) Marbles, I too wish that we got to select what markets we participate in.

And then this morning we get up and see this …

But Brazil still needs a credit card on file for advertising which we are not going to put in.

I have been asked to redo the Identify verification randomly as well. I literally could not upload my bank statement for the Deposit Verification step no matter how many times I tried. It just kept returning to the popup page telling me what it needed to include.

I was so pissed I called my wife over to see and on the 5th time, it magically uploaded the file… WTF man. Their webdesigners and page rollouts seem to get worse and worse with each update.

Ok … so CA, MX and BR are all Healthy.

US shows Healthy but we went into Account Info and found that Amazon needed to verify our address again so now we wait for the post card.

Since our physical address isn’t our mailing address (small town PO Box), we will have to alert the post office to make sure we get it.

We had had the PO Box as the business address but guess Amazon needs to verify physical. Not happy about this.
