Giving one last try here.
My current understanding is that on Amazon listings with Customization, I am limited to a total of 100 options, and no more than 5 drop-down lists, and no more than 20 options per drop-down list.
I’m editing a template and it is allowing me to exceed these limits, giving me false hope. But I’m sure when I try to make it live, it will give me an error message.
Is my data above correct, or is there some way to exceed these option limitations?
I have a product that can be customized by US state. I’m guessing I will have to break this listing into 3 children, like A-L, M-P, R-W for the US states.
I’d really like 6 or 7 drop down-lists. But 2 of them only have 3 and 5 options each, so I could combine these into 1 drop-down list of 15 options.
I can eliminate another drop-down list by using Display Logic and Data or Number Entry. I give up being able to show this customization in the Preview, but I can live with that.
I thought about making 52 children (US states plus Puerto Rico and District of Columbia), but if I ever make a change, it would be much easier to edit 3 children instead of 52.
Do all of the children’s sales rank get combined together? Or is it truly better to have fewer or no children for optimal sales rank?
Is there a better way?
