Amazon labels "Created, not yet in system" even after pickup

Anyone notice that Amazon labels are not getting into USPS’s system as fast as others recently? I bought labels last night from Amazon (USPS Ground Adv) and from Shopify. This morning the packages were picked up and the SCAN sheets scanned. All the Amazon postage labels are showing up " Label Created, not yet in system" but the other ones are scanned as having been received. This is the second time I’ve noticed Amazon labels not getting updated as quickly as other sources.

Personally I’m not worried about them - they seem to always eventually show up before they are delivered, but just wondering if anyone else has noticed this.

That is a USPS site message and shows once the label is created … doesn’t matter the label provider … and stays like that until the label is scanned accepted by the receiving post office.

Are the items being scanned at pick up with scan sheets or by individual package? If scan sheets, it is possible that one scan sheet is scanned on pick up and the other isn’t getting scanned (from you statement … we would bet this is what is happening to you).

With that said, there are several reports of USPS issues currently. The issues range from Amazon labeled packages being held for payment verification, to extremely slow delivers and even early reissued recycled labels.

We have one package that has been sitting at the local distribution center for a week. We have 3 packages that have left our post office but have not been scanned through the “local” distribution center as of yet.

As far as on Amazon reporting, we use Amazon Bulk Shipping when purchasing labels and our order detail pages are updated at the moment we purchase the label as shipped with the tracking number.
