Amazon Listing Upload Help Needed

I’m working through a plethora of uploaded listing errors and warnings.

Somehow, about 4 products on my upload threw an error because they have the same UPC as other products of mine. So there’s a total of 8 UPCs that I’ve accidentally duplicated years ago.

Is there a way to get Amazon to correct the 4 UPCs?

I thought about killing the duplicate UPC and re-creating the product with the correct UPC. But I worried this might kill the correct product that has the same UPC.

Typically, for many years, that was readily accomplished via a request to have the Catalog and FEEDs Department “cleave” the ASINs in question, but the advent of the PT (“Product Types and Attributes”) Initiative/“Attribute Harmonization Initiative”/“Size Normalization Initiative”), and its ongoing expansion since 2019, has done a good bit of muddying those formerly-clear-sailing waters.

May I ask if you are using CLRs/RFRs (“Category Listing Reports/Reverse Feeds Reports”) for your APvU (“Add Products via Upload”) submissions, or something else?

I am not using CLRs/RFRs for these products I uploaded (Add Products via Upload) years back (4 of my 360 listings duplicated UPCs that I already assigned to other products).

I’m thinking I should just delete the offending ASINs, and then re-create them using the correct UPCs.

You might also consider updating data in GS1 for those UPCs to make the new product.

On a related note, I have found that on other ASINs not included above - sometimes I have to update the listing twice to get all changes to stick.

It seems that setting the California Air Resource Board (CARB) on the first go-around helps. Then on the 2nd attempt, I can re-update that changes that did not stick on the first try. It seems that some changes get ignored until the CARB setting gets updated.

After I am done cleaning up the remaining 60 ASINs, then I’ll submit a CLEAVE request to Amazon - in case I come across more that need their assistance.
