Amazon Seller Central Order Page Notes Removed

Just noticed this morning that all of our orders (fbm) on the order page are missing the information that we have been putting under the note section. We normally had put this type of info in the box:

SEE ORDER DETAILS UNDER [our system reference #]

11/14/2025 USPS# [tracking for USPS]
11/XX/2025 DELIVERED

We have been doing this for years. It showed up on the side when a customer emailed us which provided us a quick reference.

As of this morning, the note box is wiped clean.

Anyone else seeing this?

EDIT ADD: The notes we put in this morning’s orders are not there once we close and reopen that particular order. We checked the new Next Gen Selling pages for Seller Central and they are the same … order notes missing from the order note box.

I’m just coming here to ask about this issue. I also noticed this morning all my notes are gone, and what I just added this morning, didn’t save either.

Grrrr…and I thought that was a ā€œsafeā€ place to store information like @Lost_My_Marbles.

My notes are gone too.

FWIW, I used to copy the buyer’s address to the notes, so when Amazon abbreviated it soon after shipping, I could contact the customer if I needed to. Now, it looks like I will start copying the customer’s address offline to my computer.

It is a subject in the Amazon forums also:
https://sellercentral.amazon.com/seller-forums/discussions/t/29d148f7-662d-44bb-ab5f-3c2a1e77f49d?postId=c8d73fe4-8a13-499f-9a36-d7f04de73eb1

This, BTW, is reason #17442 for moving more inventory over to eBay.

Relying on Amazon to keep any information you need is not ā€œsafeā€

Very true. I probably should have said convenient. Making new procedures again…

As noted over on NSFE, the notes are still visible if you have sent a message to the customer in the right column beside the message.

This is encouraging as it shows the notes are not completely lost … just not showing on the order detail page … so it is most likely a break in code.

For what it is worth, I am still seeing the notes but they do not seem to be working properly and saving information. I use them all the time as well for order notes/serial numbers/specific info.

Probably. Or Amazon is tired of storing that data and they are dropping the feature without warning, which would be typical.

Our order Notes are back as of this morning … 11/13/2025 …

Same here.

Mine are back too.

We would be wise to not depend on this revival. If they can screw it up temporarily, they can screw it up permanently.

We should all be retaining records offline.

We have been for some time. We were putting a reference number in the Notes as to the location of the ā€œofflineā€ notes. Decided that we should also put this reference number under the ā€œYour Seller Order ID#ā€ at the top of the order page from now on.

How unobservant of me - I never noticed that before! I’ve been using the notes box on all FBM expire-able product orders to record the expiration date of the item shipped, to link it with the order. I only wish the notes field was included on the order reports, it’s not an option.

I don’t see ā€˜Seller Order ID#’ on the order report, or on the list of optional columns that can be added; which seems odd to not have a downloadable record for sellers who assign ID’s.
