Amazon Resale advertising Gatorade powdered mix that expired more than a year ago?? This is live as of 3 p.m. Pacific on July 7.
That does appear to be the case.
Eww.
Amazon checking expiration dates?

Something like this would not bother me to use but if I purchased it I would want it to be fresh. It would be a good case to get an easy refund and not have to return.
Probably a listing that was never updated or couldn’t be updated due to various issues sellers face. Which is why you should never put something in a listing that would need to be updated.
If my theory is correct, what a great way to help conversion ![]()
Interestingly, that expiration date isn’t in the listing, it’s on the seller info. The other sellers don’t show an expiration.
I’m more surprised that a grocery product can be sold by Amazon “Resale”…
I am surprised that Amazon allowed the seller to set up a store using Amazon’s own name as part of their store name.

Then I guess we should applaud Amazon’s honesty for listing the product’s expired expiration date?!

Yes, it was Amazon itself selling this. I have purchased coffee from Amazon Resale, but the expiration dates are always very far in the future.
That listing is gone, so I guess someone bought it. It’s probably OK to use, but I’m surprised Amazon would sell it. I buy this Gatorade powder regularly for my husband, and the discount was low enough that I don’t think the date was just a typo.
Friends don’t let friends eat at Amazon.
