Amazon shipping screwed up today

… and of course, this is “ship by today” Here’s what my shipping label looks like:
(MOD REMOVED IMAGE THAT ACCIDENTALLY INCLUDED PERSONAL INFORMATION)

I cancelled the label twice so far. May wait several hours before trying again,

Thanks for the warning.

I just started shipping my orders this morning. The first one looks fine.

But downdetector showed a peak around 7am PST. It looks like it is too big to be random noise.

The blacked out area is the person’s address.
I just tried again, and labels are still fuqd.

I apologize if this should be obvious to me, but is this a UPS label?

The tracking number starts with TBA which is an Amazon tracking number.

Does the QR code give up any personal info?

USPS

WTF, though hardly a surprise.

Is it possible you choose Amazon delivery instead of USPS?

And they provide no useful tracking info IMO

No, I chose USPS Ground Advantage. I’ve been 100% FBM for almost 3 years and have no use for Amazon delivery.

nor does the label show my return address.

My shipping template is set up to show USPS only.
I thought this meant that Amazon would show me USPS options only.

Silly me! I forgot this was Amazon :face_with_spiral_eyes:

I did not choose Amazon Ground shipping — AMAZON disregarded my shipping settings and chose Amazon Ground for me. Buy Shipping didn’t show me USPS Ground at all.

Why? Because Amabots didn’t think my packages would arrive on time.

Why was I shipping on the last “ship by” day"? Because I got tired of Amazon emails telling me I had too large of a shipping gap (5 days on average), and if I didn’t slow down, I’d get Borged into 1-day handling time.

Just in case I got hurled into 1-day purgatory, I manually edited 1600 listings to ensure that handling time was 2-3 days on everything, even if I could get out most orders the next day. I changed shipping days to M-F only, even though i work weekends. I decreased the number of daily orders.

I gave myself leeway, just in case. I do not want those stupid shipping gap emails.

So to reward me for slowing down to meet Amazon’s Bizarro notion of pleasing the customer, Amazon sneakily changed my available shipping options on all 3 orders.

I am not pleased.
