We sell products FBA and FBM. Lately there have been more Undeliverable address’s on both sides. We can message the customer to get an updated address when it is FBM when the shipping label shows up with only a name, city, state and zip. But how can Amazon not verify addresses yet when it is FBA leaving their warehouses? Once that happens shipping costs and product costs are auto refunded. Has anyone been able to talk with Amazon to put those charges on the customer instead since its their fault for not putting in a correct address?
I think you misunderstand how Amazon works. They don’t really care about sellers, they care about customers. If they can charge sellers for something that isn’t their fault instead of charging customers, they are going to charge sellers.
Sure, you could talk to Amazon about this. I’m sure they would pretend to listen before politely telling you where the closest bridge to your location is so that you could go jump off it…
Welcome to SAS!
Amazon does not check addresses before they ship anything. If the customer put it down, that’s where they ship it to. If it doesn’t work, they don’t blame the customer or the carrier or themselves, they blame the seller, as though there was anything you could do about it.
The joys of Amazon.
This made me laugh. Figured as much.
It’s crazy because it’s getting worse. How can you put a delivery address in without an address…Here’s your order shipping to John Smith NYC, NY 07008
