Amazon introduces Consult-a-Friend, a new mobile experience that lets you ask your friends for advice while you shop
The only thing as a Seller that makes me wary of participating–either by soliciting opinions from my friends or by responding, or even just getting a query–is that I’m afraid Amazon will collect these data and “link” me to the accounts of any friends who might currently, previously, or in future sell on Amazon, and get their account suspended.
(As a Buyer…Amazon knows too much about me already. They don’t need to know who my trusted friends are, too.)
My buyer account is rarely used anymore, so via strategic queries, I have them convinced that I am a black, Chinese, lesbian, unwed mother who majors in English Lit at Boston University.
