[AMZ] Amazon introduces Consult-a-Friend, a new mobile experience

Amazon introduces Consult-a-Friend, a new mobile experience that lets you ask your friends for advice while you shop

:grimacing: The only thing as a Seller that makes me wary of participating–either by soliciting opinions from my friends or by responding, or even just getting a query–is that I’m afraid Amazon will collect these data and “link” me to the accounts of any friends who might currently, previously, or in future sell on Amazon, and get their account suspended.

(As a Buyer…Amazon knows too much about me already. They don’t need to know who my trusted friends are, too.)

WTF. Does everything need to be “social” through “apps”?

What’s next, consult a friend about your stool while you box up your Cologuard sample?

I think @ASV_Vites shared this originally…

Thanks for reminding me. I’ve been procrastinating sending mine in.

Just make sure nobody is watching you…

LOL

Well they started it with sellers only they called it forums.

Amazon is apparently trying to become more like Tik-Tok (about which I know almost nothing):

What a wonderful way to avoid responsibility for even the most minor life choice - collective responsibility,

I have no sympathy for those folks who get run down by vehicles with their phones in the hands, so I expect to be immune to these effects.

My buyer account is rarely used anymore, so via strategic queries, I have them convinced that I am a black, Chinese, lesbian, unwed mother who majors in English Lit at Boston University.
