I am talking about the sales figure for the day in the top left corner. Ours’ are like double or triple our actual sales and pending orders today…
Not sure what is going on? Not sure if it’s a glitch or where they are getting these numbers from…?

Seems correct on this end but we are 100% FBA so this may be a FBM issue…
I don’t like what I have been seeing in the top left corner the last few days but that’s a different story / topic and I refuse to start a “slow sales” thread. ![]()
Yeah really odd……it says we have sold 40 items today but we’ve only sold 13.
Any FBM people who can chime in here?
This issue is an active discussion on the NSFE. Link below but just in case you don’t go there, here’s the most recent Mod response:
You are not alone with this issue… From the posts I have read, it does seem to be isolated to FBM sellers.
ETA - there are 2 threads… Second link below.

Perfect, I looked in the NSFE before I posted here…not sure how I missed those.
That’s because the search function sucks and they make it difficult to sort “recent threads” , and you need to do it TWICE to get it to stick and be able to scroll down.
Really dumb design. Not sure what the purpose of it is, maybe they plan on selling sponsored ads on the forum soon.
Ours has been okay when it is showing; however, we have noticed all of the widgets on Seller Central page have been flickering and the page has to be reloaded once or twice to get the info to come up.
Maybe if we had a mod named KY_Amazon - things would be a lot smoother ![]()
Amazon, is that you? ![]()
I’m more concerned with the fact that they basically have throttled our sales now for the day thinking we’ve sold 2.5 times more items than we have.
Amazon is a weird place…talked to some folks, still looking at an exit but not before I play it smart. I guess, if a person follows the FBA model to the T and keeps launching products - there is a
ton of money to be made still but it ain’t easy man.
Ours have been throttled for days. Maybe when they fix this we can have our sales back too. ![]()
The reality is it’s the “spreading the wealth” in our business. Amazon always does this. If we rise too high, they cut us down, and the rank goes to a seller that has fallen off. It’s clear to see in the rank.
It’s also:
I can tell when Amazon is overall slow. As some of you know, I spend a lot of time everyday going over orders from 10 days ago and manually requesting reviews for buyers who have reordered (their 2nd, 5th, and 10th order).
When I am done looking at these for the day, and SNS orders from 4 weeks ago, I have a pool of orders that the review won’t go through because it hasn’t been 5 days since receipt of the shipment.
That pool of orders is the smallest I have seen ever at the moment.
So that either means that sales are slow right now for FBA listings OR Amazon suddenly got much better at getting orders out.
IMO, sales have slowed on Amazon for one or all of the 3 points above.
Walmart isn’t great either and we don’t deal with the same types of BS over there.
Have you considered …
Note: This article was updated on February 7, 2025, to update the effective date of the change.
Effective February 24, 2025, we’ll automatically set a minimum threshold for you in Seller Central’s order handling capacity feature. This number shows you a conservative estimate of the volume capacity you can handle based on your average daily orders over the past 30 days.
Maybe the implementation is having some un-intended effects on sales.
I don’t understand how this would effect FBA sellers but you never know.
Let me head on over to that link and set our limit to 1,000,000.
It’s Amazon … play with this and break that …
In case you missed it, there is a new boycott aimed just at Amazon by the people who think that not buying from a big corporation for a week will make a difference without hurting the people who rely on those sales.
So I wouldn’t really consider anything for this week in making any projections or accusations.
ETA: Typed this out before reading the whole post (hey, it’s nearly 2 am, and 3rd glass of rum). I see you hit the major points. Things are so freakin’ insane right now that I don’t advise anyone making a major decision based on the last few weeks (other than perhaps wait to do something new).
Nail, meet hammer.
We did not experience that yesterday, was reading about it on the NSFE and waited, but everything fine.
I’d lean more towards the current insane events, rather than the boycott. I haven’t seen anything about that boycott since it was “announced”.
We have a very steady business with an enormous amount of reorders, which is why our overall account conversion is in the 70’s, with our top seller in the mid-80’s.
If our customers were boycotting, we would be getting direct orders instead, especially since the price is identical. We’ve had 1 order this week, which is 1 more than we usually get, but nevertheless, 1…
I did my detailed state capital analysis last night, where I look at the search rank of our top seller. It’s normally #1 for the main KW. It was 2 in all but 4 states.
Now that Amazon has added SO MANY sponsored ad spots on the mobile buyer app, being #2 is like being #20. We aren’t paying for our sales (PPC), so we will wait, and it will revert like it always does.
Policy Insanity + Rank Drop, so Amazon can spread the wealth = decrease in sales for us. It’s happened before and it will happen again. It hadn’t happened for 10 weeks so we were getting pretty comfortable that we were in a permanent groove. That was silly thinking.
