Are there storage charges while a removal order is processing?

Asking here because a seller has a removal order that has not happened and is still being charged after 7 months.
Since everyone fled here they haven’t received any useful information as far as I can see. My post is just my normal Amazon milking the seller dry info and they said this –

“But hang on wait, I was told storage fees don’t get charged when a removal order is pending.”

Told by whom? I believe that storage fees most certainly do apply to pending removal orders, which is one reason why removal orders Amazon won’t remove cause such trouble.

They were likely told that by the always reliable Seller Support people.

I was told this by our friendly seller support…we’ve got way too many products still in pending for removal orders to actually happen. Last week we got back product that expired in 2023. Yes, requested a removal order before the product expired.

Well we know what that’s worth.

According to Amazon help file Amazon Sign-In

Note: Once a removal order is successfully created, we do not charge storage fees on the units during the processing period until its completion.

(just after item 11 in the “Create a Removal Order” section)

Of course, we’ve all seen countless cases where Amazon doesn’t follow policy.

And, AGAIN Amazon has sloppy language here which I am sure is on purpose.

Read that again – we do not charge storage fees on the units during the processing period until its completion.

In other words, it appears to be written to NOT say they don’t charge.

It is written to say they don’t charge UNTIL the completion!

And, yes I understand what people (and Amazon) THINK it says, but by having the “until completion” it totally destroys the theory.

They can charge at will because it says they can once completed!

Amazon is in the dictionary under ‘deceptive’.

I find it interesting that over in the NSFE, the FMT-CMT’s TaylorR has spent some time today (021525) in seeking out discussions on this topic, and responding to them with one or another variation of this post:

There’s a reason why Amazon’s Legal Beagles enjoy such plush accommodations right in the heart of a metropolitan area which features some of the most-expensive Downtown/Uptown Commercial Real Estate sites in the world.

Another interesting development - which I’ve never seen reported before in ANY regard - is this 031525 NSFE post stating that a PCRP Performance Notification mentions Amazon footing the bill for Removal Orders in regard to the recently-deployed Universal/Marvel/etc. Gating Initiative (emphasis mine):
