Focusing on other opportunities, I’ve been away for a while to get licensing in my state.
But I’m back and was shocked on my Inventory replenishment that there is no longer the great savings of doing pallets, and I actually have a cost advantage just doing UPS parcel; which unfortunately means my margins on smaller products are practically gone.
But, I do see the AWD option, and am not sure if people have jumped on board yet. Good, bad?
Any link you want to share that breaks down the pros/cons of the service?
Cheers!
Ryan
ps. on a side note, the Seller Central forums are as depressing as ever. I checked in today and I had to look away. Like watching a slow-motion guillotine on unsuspecting sellers.
dude, some of the stuff I’m reading, just looks like pure destruction of small businesses who – surprisingly – look like they didn’t do anything wrong, and amazon just took them to the cleaners.
Amazon is making a big push to AWD, opening it up to places it was once restricted.
I have a call with AWD folks at Amazon at 3PM EST today. Will report back.
I’m not comfortable using it for a variety of reasons and nothing I will hear at 3 today will make us feel different about it but it may be a forced reality in the near future for every FBA seller.
Amazon invested a lot in AWD thinking it would be widely adopted and that didn’t happen so they are likely to force FBA sellers to use their mistake by restricting capacity and increasing fees further to make it work for Amazon.
I don’t believe any of the 400 community members here are using AWD at this point.
