Bots Read Geo-Restricted Listings as Policy Violations

For anyone with geographic restrictions, the bots yesterday went nuts and decided the notices from Amazon that the listing was restricted from sale in certain states were policy violations.

There were no violation notices sent out, there is no AH change. It comes in as “no impact” and “removed” but the listing isn’t removed because it wasn’t a violation. They are also marked as the date of the Geo-restriction notice even though it just appeared. This happens as far back as it will go, so pretty much every listing made in the last 3 years in that category has a policy violation - even though there really isn’t one.

A seller commented about it in a thread on the seller forums, and I went to look at mine and saw the same thing. It had happened at some point during the day since AH is the first thing I check every morning. Of course, the bots defend their flag in the SS support case by telling me to check the non-existent notice. Unnerving and frustrating :poop:

I’ve been receiving these messages for about 2 weeks now.
They “sort” themselves without too much impact (that I have noticed), my geo restricted listings are performing normal and restrictions remain in place, but it is yet another fun Amazon email/notification alerting you of some critical failure when there’s nothing behind it

Yep, Amazon. I still am trying to get SS to get it to tech support since clearly their AI once again went haywire. I never received any notices other than the Geo-restrictions, which I’m used to since almost everything we sell falls under that category.

@VLT thank you for the heads up.

Amazon has too many hands and ain’t none of 'em communicating.
