Brand Registry Application Questions

I’m stuck, guys.

We make our own stuff. My company’s name is not the same as the brand name that I registered. I have nothing that includes the brand name. The sourcing stuff is just raw materials. Why would it have the brand name? Do they mean the product itself, a la “shoes” for Nike’s shoes?

Any official business stuff has my company’s name; that’s it. How do I fill this part out? Do I make a document that transfers ownership to myself and put the brand name on it? Like, sell myself Nike’s shoes so the invoice will say Nike’s shoes? That’s so fake, but if that’s what needs to be done…

What many businesses do is have one company that manufactures the product, and another company they sell it to with invoices and everything that sells the product on Amazon.

We manufacturer our product. When we went through this, we provided an invoice for our various plates that we use. The invoice was billed to our company name (not our brand name) which is also used on Amazon. In our exchanges with Brand Registry, we explained that we were the manufacturer and what we provided was our sourcing / supply invoice.

This was the path we took and it worked. Amazon evolves all the time so we can not say this method works now.

The common method most spoken about is what @HobbesIsMyTiger has provided.

But I only have one company. Do I just put the same company as the supplier and buyer? How about making up some sort of transfer invoice?

This will not work, as far as I know.

I don’t know if this will help.

I understand you have one company, and this is a problem that many manufacturers encounter. Setting up a second company is the easiest way to deal with it. If this option is not tenable, you will need to explore other options, but I’m not sure what they may be.

Okay, well I tried a supply transfer invoice from Department A to Department B. Let’s see if they take it.

OMG. I barely submitted it and it’s approved. I’ve never seen Amazon move so quickly in my life!
