I received this rather long email this morning regarding alleged branded listings that will be removed
Dear Seller,
Your branded listings on Amazon will be removed from Amazon.com on February 11, 2026. You will be unable to create new listings for these products.
Why is this happening?
We are taking this action because our review has determined that these listings do not meet our authenticity requirements. We require sellers to source and list only authentic products with verified documentation. These requirements help ensure that products sold in our store are safe and comply with all regulations.
You can learn more about Amazon policies regarding the sale of authentic items in Seller Central:
- Amazon Anti-Counterfeiting Policy
- Program Policies
- Product detail page rules
- Intellectual Property Policy for Sellers
- Invoice requirements for appealing a policy violation
What is my selling status?
These products are currently restricted to qualified sellers only and new applications are not being accepted. If eligibility requirements change, a “Request approval” option will appear in the “Add Products” tool in Seller Central.
If you have FBA inventory, you’ll need to create a removal order to have your inventory returned, disposed of, or donated.
Have your products been incorrectly identified?
If you believe that we have misidentified your products, submit a dispute through the “View Selling Applications” dashboard in Seller Central.

Nintendo
I don’t sell anything remotely related to Nintendo, never had, and don’t think that I have even used the words console, game, or video for that matter
When I check “Selling applications” there’s nothing there, only a couple denied GTIN exceptions, because, why not…
- did anybody else receive this message?
- if by error, are you doing anything about it, or will you just let it sort itself? (I’m always weary of letting Amazon sort things out, but I’m not really sure of what to do here)
