We’ve made your business hour delivery rate available on the Eligibilities section of the Account Health dashboard.

Business hour delivery rate measures how often your self-fulfilled orders are delivered to Amazon Business customers during business hours. Maintaining a business hour delivery rate of at least 90% prevents delivery challenges, such as unattended or lost packages and failed delivery attempts, which may reduce the chance of Amazon Business customers buying from you again.

To optimize your business hour delivery rate, follow these steps:

  1. Go to the Account Health dashboard’s Program Eligibilities page, and download the report.
  2. Identify the top-performing carriers who have a business hour delivery rate greater than 90%.
  3. Consider using those carriers for future self-fulfilled Amazon Business orders.

In the US, we recommend using UPS Ground, UPS Ground Saver, and FedEx Ground for reliable business hour delivery rate performance.

Seriously how are we in control of USPS, UPS etc…? All will now attempt delivery whenever they get to it.
Lets not even mention Amazon who has delivered at 1 am when it was 9F outside and the items (liquid) froze.

This has to be the stupidist metric they’ve ever come up with.

It’s never been an issue at any business I worked at. For the offices, deliveries simply don’t come on Saturday; every delivery service knows to hold stuff until Monday. For small businesses, usually a mail slot; and again, it’s on the delivery person to get there at the right time.

What am I supposed to do if I get an order from a Jewish business in NYC on a Wednesday? Most are closed Friday afternoon, some as early as noon, and of course, closed on Saturday; but I’m required to ship on Thursday or get a ding, and it will get there the next day. Literally no way for me to ship on time and also meet these silly “business hours” requirements.

And it is especially bad when Amazon decides that my chosen delivery method would get there when the business is closed, so tries to force me to use much more expensive methods to get there early, even though the “deliver by” date is well after the day that they are closed.

Another one of those things making me think that eBay is going to be our future.

We’re a business in an industrial park and got a delivery-by-Amazon delivered on a Saturday. I’m still not sure why Amazon thought that was a good idea. Considering we ship to Amazon regularly, I’m curious how they decided we’d be open Saturday (we are not).

I don’t know why they waste their time and money with the new commercials touting 3p sellers making 60% of their sales when they are constantly trying to sabotage their business and run them all off. When it comes to Amazon, 3P stands for porked, penalized, and plundered.

In addition to being total bs, there should be a “business hour delivery credential” visible on the product’s page and the seller profile page. I can’t find it.
(I have let most of my credentials lapse, waste of time and more clutter on the page)

I was meaning it was not a problem with REAL delivery companies; you know, the ones that we would be likely to use…
