The Buy Shipping label from Amazon is formatted too large, all other carrier labels print fine as 4x6 from the Buy Shipping link. The UPS Ground Saver does not. I have to change my Print Connect printer setting to .pdf, open the .pdf and take a snapshot/print to get the size I need. Then I have to reset my printer setting to my printer for USPS and UPS ground, etc.
Anyone else have this problem or know how to fix it?
What program do you use to open the PDF? We use Adobe Acrobat (free version) and can simply resize a label in the print option that pops up. We have to do this when we are printing labels bought on PayPal. Labels that we buy on Amazon, we created a preset on our printer with it going thru a certain drawer loaded with 4 x 5.5 inch paper. For us, it becomes a simple switch in the printer options that pop up in Adobe.
Adobe Acrobat Reader (free). Iād rather not involve a pdf at all if possible, I do not have to for other Buy Shipping ship methods so itās not part of my regular work flow (or for Endicia/Dazzle when I have to buy off-Amazon).
When I have a lot of orders or am in a hurry I forget and print the default cheapest/fastest option then I see the mess that printed and have to reprint as a pdf which involves changing the default print method setting. Itās a pain in the you-know-what.
That NSFE discussion was originally created 053024, and KJās first post to it of that same date mentions that Amazon was working on a fix to support Zebraās native format, .zpl (sellers who use Dymo printers have reported that they arenāt experiencing this).
Ultimately, I suspect that the problem might be with Amazon Print Connect itself, as it has basically been retired in favor of the 3rd Party software QZ Tray (link, Seller Help Content), due primarily to limitations inherent in Print Connectās design.
Thanks āDogā! - Or āTamerā?
I am avoiding the NSFE doxing, so I appreciate you copying the post here, as you always do.
I do use a Zebra workhorse that functions fine even though it is ancient (I currently have 5 of them and canāt see replacing something that aināt broke).
I am aware of the push to use QZ Tray but am leery as with all Amazon changes. Does anyone using it have an opinion, or problems?
I donāt do the NSFE so thanks for keeping an eye on this. The mod reply is not accurate, the 4x6 format is what I need and not available. But I wonāt acquiesce to doxing in order to inform the mod they have not accurately grasped the problem (a persistent seller support flaw).
I have not tried QZ Tray, curious about the ānot as simpleā remark.
I print UPS Ground Saver labels using Amazonās Buy Shipping UPS account.
I use my Zebra ZP 505.
I am using QZ Tray.
Label orientation prints 4x6 inch.
Physical label prints perfectly.
Oddly, it is the only available option for orientation. All other shipping methods have many options. UPS Ground Saver blocks out all the rest.
I setup QZ Tray when it was first mentioned. It completely runs in the background and I never opened the app or did anything after day 1 setup. I have no clue what ānot as simple as Print Connectā means.
Print directly from the PDF with the rollo. When you load labels it will automatically change the paper size to whatever you load. I print 4x6 labels and 1x2 barcode labels with my Rollo with no issues, but I donāt use any print program, just print out of either the browser or Adobe Acrobat.
I already do print 4x6 labels and 1x2 barcode labels with my Rollo, and from .pdfās. My issue is Amazon Print Connect does not direct print the UPS Ground Saver label in the 4x6 format so I have to change Print Connect printer setting to save it as a .pdf, then print it (see OP); extra steps in my workflow.
So I will try QZ Tray in place of Print Connect.
I am wondering what this seller (quote posted by Papy is from the NSFE) might be inferring. I guess no one on our great forum has any idea why it is not as simple. I will have to try it to find out.
Amazon is gradually phasing out Print Connect and will eventually deprecate it, with QZ Tray being the new default for all new sellers. While existing users can still use Print Connect, it is recommended to transition to QZ Tray for potentially better printer support and to prepare for future deprecation.
We would think that, with Amazon building out the new GUI (Next Gen Selling), there will be more issues with Print Connect functionality.
So since it boggled my mind that this conversation originated a whole frigginā YEAR ago (why does time move faster the older I get), I went to try and search for any new info on the post. But I didnāt find the tags to be āclickableā (ours are live links). Iām wondering if that is because I wasnāt logged in, or because the thread is locked?
Can someone else please try? I was going to go through āUPSā first.
I could click on the sellers name and the Fulfill Orders button.
The tags below the Fulfill Orders button are not clickable.
When I click the Fulfill Orders button, it just opens the a new forums page with Categories>Fulfill Orders topics.
Search function on NSFE has never really worked. The category level (ie: Fulfill Orders) just returns anything in that category. The āTagsā on NSFE have been decorations from day one.
In the earliest days after the NSFE went dead live, the members of the FMT-CMT - along w/ some of the AHT SMEs - used to tout the use of tags, implying that doing so would allow greater visibility to such Amazonians in addressing discussions that they specialized in solving.
Iām not sure that the plan worked out as well as was originally imaginedā¦
