Can we see FBA chargebacks?

When a buyer files a chargeback for FBM orders, we are notified and usually get a chance to submit evidence.

Is there any way to see chargebacks for FBA orders? I assume that Amazon defends these themselves, and if they lose just pass the losses on to us as some sort of generic charge or withholding, but I don’t know how to identify those charges.

Hm, as you know I don’t do FBA, but I’m thinking there might be a report that would show when Amazon has had to do FBA customer service actions?

Not that I am aware of but hopefully someone knows of this because a lot of FBA is a mystery when it comes to this stuff.

Like when we get a return that customer service jams through as a “General Adjustment” in a category that doesn’t allow returns for safety reasons…

I tried selecting Chargeback Refund from the drop-down on Transaction View and Transaction Type, but it showed No Results for the last 2 years.

I am not sure if FBA chargebacks would appear under this report. I have not lost a chargeback since Dec 15, 2018.

You haven’t lost an FBM chargeback, because those are the ones we defend. FBA chargebacks don’t come to us, and why would they? The information they ask for to defend the chargeback (tracking information, etc) is all contained by Amazon, as sellers we don’t even have access to it.

However, I have to assume that FBA chargebacks still happen and we just don’t get told about them because there is nothing for us to contribute to the process. That said, I’m sure that on the occasion Amazon loses an FBA chargeback, they are happy to pass on the financial hit to us, and they just call it something different. Some kind of generic withholding rather than “lost chargeback.”

I am having some chargeback issues and I am looking for a way to see if the same thing is happening FBA as FBM. So far I can’t find one.

Yes you can see FBA chargebacks under Account Health.
On the left, ODR - that should always be 0 with FBA.
If it isn’t click it and choose Fulfilled by Amazon in the dropdown box. The report gives you the details to be able to fight it.

Then you have to send the appeal with detailed information for AMZ to fight it to: [email protected]

The only issue a seller would be “at fault” for during an FBA charge back would be if the item was a knockoff AFAIK.

Delivery issues would all be on FBA, and I assume since Amazon auto allows returns (unless the item is non-returnable) they SHOULD be an easy win for Amazon.

Card fraud/not authorized would also be on Amazon.

This only shows chargebacks that the seller is dinged for. Put another way, chargebacks that Amazon loses. I’m looking for a way to find a full list of chargebacks for my FBA orders.

My account is being attacked by fraud on my FBM orders, and I want to know if the same thing is happening on FBA orders as well. Even if Amazon is successful at defending all/most of them, I still want to know about the others. I am looking for patterns in the fraud that I can use to filter orders in an effort to screen possible fraudulent orders before they are shipped, and I need all the information I can get.

Didn’t @VTR have an entire SOP that he’s created for this shyte?

Not for chargebacks specifically. Just FBA returns/refunds in general.
