Shopify CEO Tobi Lutke told employees in a memo that they’ll have to show jobs can’t be done by artificial intelligence before asking for more headcount and resources.
Lutke said there’s a “fundamental expectation” that employees are using AI in their day-to-day work.
Tech companies have poured money into developing AI at the same time that they continue to cut jobs.
This. We have all see Amazon’s bots are dumb as a box of rocks, and even Apple AI is so stupid that it makes up news headlines, so yeah maybe lets prove efficiency and effective use of AI first.
I always asked when an AI driven car (waymo, auto pilot, etc) breaks the law and gets pulled over, who gets the ticket?
I don’t even want to read the article because the premise is so asinine, even for a tech company. “Tell me you don’t understand software without telling me you don’t understand software” aye yi yi
